Realme Buds Air Long Term Review: Justifies its Price
Realme launched its first True Wireless earbuds, Realme Buds Air, in the month of December. Its design is very similar to Apple's AirPods. Although the price of Realme's wireless buds is quite low. We have used these Buds Air for a long time and now we are passing the review to you. The price of Reality Buds Air in India has been kept at Rs 3,999.
Design:
As we mentioned above, its design is very similar to Apple's AirPods. These buds come with air charging, which is quite small and can be carried very easily. We have included the white color option in the review. The rest of the customers will also have the option of its black and yellow color.
However, talking about the white color option, here in the charging case is written in very small letters like the back, 'designed by reality' which supports the look of the case. Also here, a USB Type-C port has been provided in the bottom, which supports fast charging. At the same time, there is a button in the front, which is used for pairing the device. Also, LED indicator light has also been given on top of it. Which turns green, yellow and red according to the battery. This charging case also supports wireless charging.
Now speaking of buds, it is 4.2 grams. It is very light. This is usually a problem with buds, but their ears do not fit well. But even though there is no rubber grip in the buds air, it does not slip through the ears. Overall speaking, both the buds and the charging case look very premium and are quite lightweight.
Performance:
First of all, let us tell you that Bluetooth 5.0 has been supported for connectivity in Reality Buds Air and it pairs with any device very fast. Only once you have to open the charging case and press and hold the button and pair it with your favorite device. The next time you open the charging case, it will automatically pair with your old device.
In this, support for Google Fast Pair Technology has been given. It also gives connectivity range up to 10 meters. Talking about buds, it has the support of auto wear detection, which works quite well. As soon as you remove any of the two buds out of the ears, they stop working, but the media becomes auto play as soon as you apply them in the ears.
Along with this, touch control has also been provided in the buds. Tap touch in this can answer the call and play / pause music playback. Similarly, media tracks can be changed with triple tap. At the same time, by pressing on one side, the voice assistant can launch and end the call.
Similarly, by holding and holding both sides, you can enter / exit in gaming mode. However, it is a very memorable thing and sometimes it does not work properly. Also, there is no touch control included for volume control.
Talking about the rest of the specifications, the Reality Buds Air gets a custom R1 chip and a 12mm dynamic driver. In these buds, you can long press both sides and go into super low latency mode or gaming mode. However, you will need it only when there is a lag fill in the visual or audio output. However, this affects the battery more. Noise cancellation technology has been provided for calling. With this, you can hear the voice coming from the front without increasing the voice even in the crowded area.
Talking about audio quality, base boosted drivers have been used in it. Because of this the base is fine to a great extent. But there is no punch in the base. Similarly, you will find a lack of crisp in high notes, mids and vocals. Mids are not sharp here. It is fine overall, but there is a lack of punch and crisp. The good thing is that even at full volume, the sound does not sound cracked and the sound does not leak out either.
Battery:
Talking about the battery, the company claims that the buds can be run separately for 3 hours. We have also got almost this much battery. But this result is at a low volume. At the same time, this battery gets reduced during high volume or calling. Also, with the help of the charging case, we got about four and a half hours of battery while the company claims to have 17 hours. The battery of the buds can be increased a little more. Because especially when you start talking long, the problem seems more. However, many times we have also noticed that the battery of a bud goes first. In such a situation, one can be charged by using the other. There is some disappointment about the overall battery.
Decision:
Realme Buds Air is a very premium looking and lightweight product according to its price. Sound quality is also good according to the price. Only touch control and battery could be improved further.
